PHPBB2 Attack – a user’s perspective

There’s been a large number of compromises related to PHPBB2 recently. One of the most common is that via an SQL injection attack, people accessing the Bulletin Board get forwarded to a rogue page where they (unwittingly) get asked to install more trojans and other malware on their system.
